The word 'quilt' conjures up visions of warmth, softness and comfort. Our guild in particular has a record of being charitable by the very existence of Quilts from the Heart. Quilts From the Heart is our guild's ongoing community service project. Volunteers from the Pioneer Valley Quilters design and sew quilts for the Visiting Nurses Association, Horizons, Brightside, Baystate Pediatric Unit and Department of Youth Services. Our guild has donated hundreds of quilts through the years to those in need. We support this worthy cause through fabric donations and monthly raffles. We are honored to be recognized by the Visiting Nurses Association as a major contributor of care in 2005. We look forward to providing this service in the future as the creativity, care and love of our members is shared in the community.
