In January 1988 through the foresight of six quilters, the Pioneer Valley Quilt Guild was started. Enthusiasm for quilts and quilting was such, that in less than six months we outgrew our meeting place. The first group project, a raffle quilt was awarded a Third Place Ribbon at the 1989 Craft Adventure. Some of the founding ladies are still members. Over the years, hundreds of quilts have been donated to local charities as the guild's community service project. Our guild has reached the momentous growth of 140 members. Guests and new members are always welcome.
